Zirconia dental crowns
Zirconium oxide is one of the fastest growers on the market. Thanks to its translucent qualities the overall look is warm, as the original tooth color mingles with the zirconium. Besides, this material has an enormous strength.
There are however two downsides to this product. In case of endodontic surgery said strength is a disadvantage. The same applies when a bridge has to be shortened.
However, the advantages are such, that this product remains very popular among professionals. This is thanks to its esthetic value, as well as a fixed market price, preventing nasty financial surprises.
All our zirconium understructures are designed with our CAD/CAM system. We also have to opportunities to mill. Only in case of large structures we outsource this work. We scan with Imetric of InEos Blue and mill with Cerec InLab MC XL. After that the porcelain is baked upon the zirconium.
